Welcome to the Slow Jams show. Every installment aims to bring you the mellowest cuts from deep inside my record crates. We kick this show off one of my all time favorite Barry White numbers - September when I first met you

At 17 Barry jailed for four months for stealing $30,000 worth of Getz tires. He claims that hearing Elvis in jail changed the course of his life. In 1973’s his Love Unlimited Orchestra’s “Love’s Theme”, became one of only two instrumental recordings ever to reach number one in the US charts. Another tune worth a mention is arguably not a slow jam at all but who gives a f*”k? The Musical Metaphors 12″ from Theo Parish’s is 11 minutes long. It was the first release on his Sound Signatures record label coming out of Detroit. Theo once said “All music is “black” music, all of it - anything you have ever heard - has African roots. Any musician from any culture knows this, whether they admit it or not”
